Good points. 1, Referee Foy was correct, in my opinion, to issue a
red card to Kompany. The rules state that “serious foul play” where
dangerous injury to a player may result must be punished with a red
card, with or without contact. I agree, that looking at it, 3-4
years ago, it was a fair tackle, but in the Premier League for the
past 2-3 seasons, referees have mandated that two-footed tackles
need to be shown a red card. It’s the law. Also, City’s appeal to
have it overturned will be rejected as the FA Panel only reverses
when they can establish that the referee made a serious blatant
error in judgement which was not the case here. 2. I thought before
the game that Ferguson would not start a strong side but that
line-up today was his strongest available eleven. I was also
surprised that Mancini left out Joe Hart. 3. Goalkeeping is a
shambles at United still but Lindegaard needs to stay there now for
the rest of the season. De Gea is clearly not ready and the
platooning that has gone on has increased the uncertainty. It is
now causing errors in the defenders in front of him and Ferdinand
and Evra have gone way past their sell by date.

Ummm, is this from 2 years ago? Wilshere is already feared. Just
because he is injured now doesn’t mean he goes back to prodigy. He
DESTROYED Barca at the Emirates in the match that the racist
whining about white players MUST have missed and lead the mid well
until his injury this year. He will be back in January and then we
shall see if the cushions made by the ladychester sides can
withstand the Arsenal onrush. Anyway, can you get me in touch with
your editor? I have a great story I’d like to write on how Spain
will finally win a World Cup and the young Argentine NO ONE is
talking about, Lionel Messi.

I think Wilshere is good, but this smacks of English hyperbole. Any
decent player from England that’s White-I’m not afraid to say- gets
overhyped. For example: Not to say that Wayne Rooney hasn’t
delivered to goods, but on the level of Xavi, Ronaldo, Messi?- I
think not. I have yet to see that final ball that the author says
Wilshere has. Yes, he is committed to tackling, but the midfield
maestro that Xavi is- no way. In fact I think that it is a crime
that you mentioned Tom Cleverly, and Phil Jones- I know they are
all midfielders- and not mention Daniel Sturridge. He’s the best
young player England have coming through. Please don’t think that I
have it out for white players- I don’t. But the hype for English
players is ridiculous. I hope he comes back, proves me wrong, and
leads the Arsenal to a title. I’ll be on the band wagon for real
then.

A reasonably intelligent lad that has done some good work for charities. He’s also a pretty good footballer but there’s no denying he’s a thug. I think it’s just a matter of time before we see him on the front pages of the tabloids again.
