Number of BSkyB Subscribers Hits 8.9 Million

BSkyB (British Sky Broad­cast­ing) has announced that its sub­scriber base in the United King­dom has now grown to 8.9 mil­lion as of March 2008. Sky is now on track to hit 10 mil­lion sub­scribers by 2010.

Setanta Sports, mean­while, has approx­i­mately 3 mil­lion sub­scribers in the UK.
